The brief

The Racecourse came to us with an ambition: to host its first ever Family Day and bring a new, younger audience to race meetings.

Our approach

We worked with the Racecourse from the very beginning to shape the idea. Together, we landed on a concept that would make the day truly memorable: the whole event would be run by children.

Every role on the day, from car parking to the race announcer, was filled by a young Islander. To find them, we launched a competition across the Jersey Evening Post and Bailiwick Express, inviting children to apply for the job they most wanted to do.

The concept gave us a story, not just an advert. It captured readers' imaginations, gave families a reason to get involved and generated interest well before the gates opened.

The result

The competition attracted strong interest from families across the Island, and the day itself was a great success. The launch went so well that Family Day will now be a fixture on the Racecourse calendar for years to come.

This campaign shows what is possible when we work as a creative partner, not just a place to advertise. We helped build the event, and then made sure the whole Island knew about it.
